The Požega Foundry was established in 1948 basically producing gray iron castings.

In the early seventies, it expanded it production program with a new one: gray iron casting of railway brake shoes, which is presently the basic company business.

The company capacity is 8000 tons of castings annually.

As of November 2005, the CONCERN "FARMAKOM MB" ŠABAC became the majority stakeholder of the Foundry with 66.10% shares and the  "Železnice Srbije" Beograd (Serbian Railways Belgrade) with 33.90%, and since April 1st, 2006 it has been operating under the new name:

The production program of our factory consists of the following:

1. Gray iron castings for railway vehicles– brake shoes, grades P-10 and P-14, with or without slots.
   
   
2. Plumbing and sewage gray iron castings, grades SL20, SL25, NL50 NL70.
   
   
3. Mechanical casts for agriculture, machine work and textile industry, grades ranging from SL15 to SL30 and NL50 to NL70, up to 200kg in mass.
   
   

The current production of the FOUNDRY “POŽEGA’’ has a high technical level due to its modern equipment (the latest preparation and mechanical molding line, induction furnaces, core production machines, sand blasting and grinding plants etc.). 

Our modern laboratory is equipped with a quant meter for quick chemical analysis, microscope and other necessary equipment, which enables us to maintain a high level of product quality and to satisfy our customer demands.

Our expert staff has been permanently working on winning new products and the improvement of the existing ones.

This is best proven with the certificates issued by the certified institutions for the production of brake pads.

From the privatization period until now, this company has recorded growth in all segments-from production to realization, with a remarkable increase of 270%.
